MATTHEW 8:21-23 And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father. 22 But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead. 23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.
This scripture makes us to understand that if we want to really serve God we need to dedicate our whole lives to Him and serve Him with everything we have got. Some people we prayed to God for something and after God has answered their prayers, they will be giving excuses that is because of their jobs, children and other things. They forgot when they were praying for these things.
Brethren, nothing must stop you from following or serving Him, be focused and look straight.
