I became religious when I was about 12. I was laying on the grass and staring at stars, at that moment it hits me, that aha feeling...I realized how small I am and how vast universe is...it’s hard to describe the feeling. So I am religious but not in a conventional way.

Great thoughts here @kafkanarchy and a viewpoint I couldn't agree more with. Indoctrination comes in many forms, personally as we live on a speck of dust that's suspended within a temporary sunbeam (nod to Mr Sagan) I feel it best to keep an open mind to all possiilities .. although not so open that your brains fall out. :)

Touchy subject, personally I think most folks have a need to believe that there's more to come after death. They can't wrap their mind around the thought that this earthly existence is it. Some folks need it for morality reasons, claims it helps them not to do wrong. I believe you awaken everyday knowing in your heart how to live your life, treat others with love and respect and it comes back. No weekly meetings, to give credit or tithes to a middle man.

Established religions are all about power both on individual and collective basis. As religious leaders working on controlling masses, every religious individual uses religion to control those who are in close relation with him.
When religions' dogma disappears, only the the essence of reality is there to be felt.

I will not mention who are they but you can find them by their posts. They are self-righteous to the point they make fool of those who don't believe in anarchism. They never write in depth and convincing argument rather sarcastically attacking governments and established firms. I believe that in order to build something you have to focus on it and make an attracting model out of what you do, but if you dedicate your efforts and time to what is wrong with others you will never give a good example for others to follow.
