Mind-blowing - Bibles bought and burnt in Rwanda

in religion •  8 years ago  (edited)

The Bible Society has claimed that “a certain religious group” has been buying the Bibles and then burning them in rituals and ceremonies. Several other senior church leaders have confirmed this on further investigation and claim wealthy Muslim leaders were behind the purchases and burnings.

Hypocrisy

This is the height of hypocrisy, if Christians bought up and burnt the Koran there would be worldwide uprising and riots, yet here we see utter hate of God's Word that comes from those who would make Africa the first Islamic continent. Others have tried to destroy the Bible and even faith.

Voltaire

The French philosopher Voltaire, claimed that he alone would destroy Christianity. His printing press printed tonnes of tracts attacking the Word of God. He claimed that within 100years of his death there would be no Christianity.

He died in 1778 and ironically his home in Geneva was bought and used by the Geneva Bible Society and his printing presses were used to print millions of Bibles. More than 100years later the Church is spreading like never before.

In my opinion, comparing the backlash from burning the Koran is the other way around.
Muslims, from the US at least.. barely have a voice to cry out from persecution but if any aggressive act towards Christianity is taken.. OO LORD Help us all, Everybody gets in on it and next thing you know.. the Pope "NEEDS TO ADDRESS HIS OPINION" on the matter

Hi mrwang long time bud, thank you for your insightful comment :)

I guess people don't understand that burning books only makes those books more popular. I only read books in the Censored and Banned and Burned categories.

lol well said @dennislee
