Hail the Potato God !
He has arrived.
I had a revelation to go and dig in my garden
and sure enough I found the potato God, he was huge
and very difficult to get out of the big hole that I had to dig.
The potato God is the most special and most powerful god because he has come out of the earth itself, where all the other gods are just floating around up in the sky somewhere.
The potato God spoke to me and said,
I want all of my followers to practice rubbing their tummy and patting their heads at the same time, for 30 minutes a day three times a day. I also want them to wear a necklace of baby potatoes around their neck for the rest of their life.
You must go out and convert everyone so they can become little potato people. And then I will be happy with them in the afterlife.
You may think this is ridiculous, stupid and insane.
But if you look closely I think you'll see similarities with all the other religions and alternative movements.
And how hard do you think it would be if I went around preaching this absurd ridiculous story before I could get someone to except it. And if one person accepts it, it would be easier to get more to accept, and if I had 1000 people accepting this nonsense, then it would be very easy to get a million people accepting, and then we can inflict this ignorance and stupidity on to five year old children into this doctrine, and then the world would belong to the Potato God's people.
No one wants to be on their own, they want to feel apart of what is around them, they want to feel that they belong, no one wants to feel like an outcast. This fear is very big in people, this fear is why so called religious leaders preaching insane nonsense can dominate the world.
If you look at the history of all the prophets, they were treated as outcasts. Buddha had people spit on him and throw rocks at him, Jesus was crucified, many prophets have been treated as outcasts, and they were outcasts because they did not allow other people to control them, they faced that fear within themselves, That is why no so called religious person represents the prophet that they worship, because they are not facing that fear within themselves. They are just behaving like blind frightened sheep hiding in a crowd.
