Symtheism

Our Myths and Legends have come from antiquity, they might have lasted because they have carried the truth. Science, like Darwin stated in "Origin", is always provisional. I just wish more people could see science and religion are naturally complimentary, not mutually exclusive.

Absolutely! Science is just now getting to the point where we can understand the truths in the Bible in a more literal way, although I suspect learning not to cry wolf from the fictional story is incorporated into behavior better than the mere literal explanation. That's why I think the Bible stories are so important and shouldn't be abandoned.

I would suggest that science always works towards the same religious types of truth. Maybe today it is getting further away from understanding some of those truths and closer to understanding others. The "Big Bang" theory and the expanding universe are newer; their Genesis (Berashith) counterparts are not so new......
