Remember, I am into providing "provoking thought"..ie thinking and debating. So, I post the question does religion just control people or really give salvation to people. Just, give it some thought and try to not focus on your biases.
Before really thinking about the question...what is religion...one definition is "a particular system of faith and worship" according to a Google definition search. So, what is the definition of salvation, ..one definition from a Google search is "a source or means of being saved from harm, ruin, or loss"..hmm...let's think about both of these important definitions.
If religion is a "system of faith and worship"...how does a system save people from salvation..ie being saved from harm, ruin, or loss"....is this truly possible,or is religion a facade to control the masses..pick your religion.
Just give it some thought....especially the thought and realization that there are literally hundreds of religions or faiths...hmmmm.. I am not answering the question, but I do ask people to really give this question some thought!!!
