The Final Word, Chapter 6

in religion •  6 years ago

We define ourselves by debt. In fact, we were born into a world of debt. Debt between each other, and a debt of the below to the above. Trampled by debt is love, and without love no man can live. We are drowning in debt, so the only answer to debt is forgiveness.

Forgiveness is the core motive of our existence. Forgiveness lets us decide whether or not we are worthy as human beings. Forgiveness is what sets the human apart from the animal. It defines human existence.

If we do not let forgiveness into our hearts, then debt calls upon itself more debt. More debt calls upon itself revenge. Revenge calls upon itself death. To forgive is to be human. To not forgive is to bring death into this world.
