12)The word of God is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It cuts all the way through, to where soul and spirit meet, to where joints and marrow come together. It judges the desires and thoughts of the heart.
The Word of God is revealing, we must measure our own lives and deepest desires of the heart against the Word of God. In this way we will measure our thoughts and deeds against God's measure. We can then work on correcting what is wrong with our lives.

How amazing is the power of the Word of God. As the text of the prophet Jeremiah 23:29 also says that the Word of God is "like a hammer that breaks the rock". She has the power to reach the depths of man, and that is why when we are before her, she confronts us making us see everything that is in us; either good or bad.
