Today I would like to look at Proverbs 17 verse 5

5)If you laugh at poor people, you insult the God who made them. You will be punished if you take pleasure in someone's misfortune.

There are few things that is as cruel as to mock and humiliate people who are less fortunate. People do this to feel better about themselves. When we humiliate others, we actually humiliate ourselves and insult God. We must remember that God made everybody and all of us are His children. We need to love and respect all people. God will punish those who humiliate less fortunate people.

I have read in ninety places from the Qur'an that God has estimated the livelihood and within it to create it, and read in one place: Satan is preparing you for poverty .. We doubt in saying the truth in ninety places and we believe the falsehood in one place. @rynow

Poverty is part of this life, and God created everybody equal in His eyes, we don't always know why God choose a specific part for us, but God has a reason for everything.

Exactly you're right. We often didn't think that the one who gives us and others is same. If he can give us what we are arrogant of, he can take it from us too and can give them as well.
"Give respect to take respect"
That respect should be free from discrimination of cast, colour, wealth or money etc. God has created all of us and each one of us is unique and important!!.

Today's message has a very human and divine content @rynow. Excellent reflection. The Bible is full of teachings that result in the care of the needy. And it is precisely that the essence of the gospel is, as Matthew 25: 34,35 says "help the hungry, quench the thirst of the thirsty ...". I identify a lot with the reflection. In our country, Venezuela, we are living difficult moments. And God is calling us as a church to show His Kingdom by reaching out to the needy.
