Today I would like to look at James 4 verse 7
7)So then, submit to God. Resist the Devil, and he will run away from you.
Note this verse does not say we must run away from the devil, it says we must resit the devil and he will run away from us. This is because Jesus already achieved the victory over the devil. When Jesus returns to this earth the devil will be destroyed forever. We will be victorious in Jesus Christ.

It's true we must resist. We will always be tempted because the evil one is always circling us like a prowling lion waiting for the moment when we are weak to attack us. And the more we grow closer to Jesus the more he will try to attack. He does not like that. May the holy name of Jesus always be on our lips especially in moments when we are weak so that we may always resist.
