Proverbs 17:27-28 – KJV - He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. 28 Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
Proverbs 17:27-28 – NLT - A truly wise person uses few words; a person with understanding is even-tempered. 28. Even fools are thought wise when they keep silent; with their mouth shut, they seem.
Proverbs 17:27-28 – AMP – He who spares his words has knowledge. He who is even tempered is a man of understanding. 28. Even a fool, when he keeps silent, is counted wise. When he shuts his lips, he is thought to be discerning.

Key: This scripture explains why Daniel in the bible was considered a man of excellent spirit. Dan 6:3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. That is, Daniel was an even-tempered man and he is slow to speak. Be an excellent man; learn to hold your peace, learn to hold your words. We all have that one friend that chronically interrupts conversations and end been embarrassed. Unfortunately they never learn; and are considered fools. Only if they would listen first before interrupting would they be considered wise. This is why when the chronic interrupter gives a comely advice after listening we are wowed.
Share this message with every chronic interrupter you know. Slow to speak, slow to anger equals understanding and excellence.
