A deity is a supernatural being, like a god or goddess, that is worshipped by people who believe it controls or exerts force over some aspect of the world.
IF it is accepted that Jesus lived on earth and engaged in activities that is common to all human beings, then Jesus is human. He ate, drank, slept, spoke etc. and was subject to bodily waste disposal like the rest of us. And, there's nothing supernatural about that.
If, through faith and without proof, someone believes that Jesus is the 'son of God', then that person is absolutely free to believe as such.
IF I were to write the perfect equation that represents a perfect 'God', the equation would be ...
God = Perfect Love + Miraculous Powers
If anyone looks at the history of any of the major 'Gods', they ALL fail the above equation. The books of the major 'Gods', for example, demonstrate how those 'Gods' encouraged fellow human beings to kill others. You just need to read the Old Testament of the Bible where 'God' condones and encourages the violence of his believers against those who are seen as enemies.
The 'loving God' of the Bible even sent a flood and drowned ALL of humanity except for a chosen few. How cruel to drown 'his' creation instead of choosing a less painful way. How about painlessly zapping them into thin air? Surely, 'he' does have miraculous powers, right?
If you were a 'God' with perfect love and miraculous powers, would you boast that you created this world? Of course not. Surely, you would create a better world than this.
If you were a loving 'God', would you 'create' the female mosquito that sucks human blood and is responsible for taking thousands of innocent lives every year? Of course not. Which should be more important? The blood-sucking of a mosquito or the life of a human being? You wouldn't even create a mosquito in the first place. The farce is obvious and an insult to modern human logical thinking.
Would you create an unsafe world where earthquakes occur and destroy lives and lead to anguish, suffering and misery?
If you were a loving 'God', would cancer be a part of the human experience? Again: of course not.
If, as a human being, I'm thinking in terms of a high level of love, why don't the major 'Gods' have a perfect record of love written in their 'holy' books?
The answer is that these 'holy' books were written by people who were ignorant of scientific thought and logic, and who had a vested interest in controlling others while pretending that they had the answers to life's mysteries.
The truth is that no-one has the definitive answers.
Non of the so-called man-made 'Gods' deserve to be regarded as having power over the universe in any positive meaningful way.
Human beings have been suffering for thousands of years. And worshipping and praising these privileged non-suffering 'Gods' has not put an end to that suffering.
Ironically, worshipping and praising any of the mainstream 'Gods' is a perfect example of selfishly looking out for self with the hope that 'God' will grant exclusive and special favours.
