DARKNESS FOR SOVEREIGNTY.

A vacuum is formed in my mind and my heart grows sorrowful within:
Questions and anxieties well up within me
But there are no answers to them.
I speak to friends in parable,
I ask my questions in-joke.
But be too far off to comprehend.
Some puzzle in my parables,
Friends jest at my joke
And so my questions, anxieties, and sorrow persist.
Dare I not ask them in words clear, for while some will mock, others shall back fall from the mill.

Oh God, sovereign, I do come back to You:
Wisdom and knowledge reside with You.
In You are no ambiguities.
All times are day around You
For You are Light, the only source of light,
Nothing is hidden in Your sight.
Even the darkest of darkness is made the light before You.
You created the dark and the light for Your glory and exaltation,
So that the light may show Your presence and glory
And that the darkness may bow to Your greatness.

Why then does my heart grow sorrowful and questions and anxieties well up in me?
You keep Your wisdom from me that I may seek You and so worship You.
Worship produces wisdom, knowledge and righteous fear for Your awesomeness.
Great is Your faithfulness and awesomeness.
Wisdom and knowledge change
But You remain unchanged that You may renew them.
Turn Your face on me and let wisdom and knowledge in me be renewed with fear.

Teach me to sing from my belly and to put my heart in Your worship.
Touch my lips to utter praise, and my eyes to behold the train of Your royalty.
From my lips shall men learn to apply knowledge with wisdom.
