Waiting for God's own Time

We live in a world where things could not be faster: fast food, fast cars, drive-ins, instant transaction from your phone etc. Amidst all these , the book of Isaiah 40: 28-31 commanded us to wait in spite of the fast pace of the world. Waiting doesn't necessarily mean fasting, as many have coined it to mean. Waiting is simply choosing o remain in God's timing for you. Our memory verse points to the fact that God has a specific time in which he makes everything beautiful. Sometimes people, see talent or potential in you, and they try to fly you on their own airplane , and you go ahead with them, neglecting the fact that its not yet your time to turn off.

If the Lord has asked you to wait concerning a certain issue, count your in good company. Joseph had to waited for 13 years for Gods promise revealed to him in a dream to be fulfilled. Abraham waited 25 years for the fulfillment of the promise of a child , Moses waited 40 years under his father - in- law's roof before he could fulfill his destiny in leading the children of Israel.

Don't be discouraged while you are waiting. Stop comparing yourself to others. Be like Father Abraham who was completely persuaded that what God had promised, he was able to perform. Don't be discouraged, he that will come will surely come.
