But the evil spirit retorted, “I know and recognize and acknowledge Jesus, and I know about Paul, but as for you, who are you?”

When you identify with Christ and become His, even the demons will know and they won't trouble you because you bear the marks of our Lord Jesus Christ. Only then will you be able to tread upon serpents and scorpions and all powers of darkness and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
But you see, when you claim sonship and try to exercise dominion without the marks of Christ, even the devils will know and they will mesmerise you.

Lesson:
Be rooted and built up in Christ that you may manifest the dominion that is only accessible in Christ Jesus.
