ぼくは仕事柄、安全靴をよく履いてます。
安全靴知ってますか？？
先端に鉄心が入っていて、ソールは耐油性がある靴のことです！
最近は色んな安全靴があって種類も豊富です！安いものからしっかりとした高いものまで色々あります。
でもね、僕はこだわりがめちゃ強いのでそんじょそこらの安全靴では満足できないんですよ。今まで５足以上は潰してきた私がこだわる安全靴に求める項目を挙げていきます。
その①
頑丈で長持ちすること
安い安全靴、特にスニーカータイプはすぐ壊れるので論外。絶対革靴ですね！
その②
どんな場所でも対応できること
滑りやすい床、雨の日など過酷な状況に対応できるのはソールがしっかりとしたものでないといけません！
その③
脱ぎ履きしやすいこと
意外と大事！事務所に行ったり現場に出たり、移動が多い私には脱ぎ履きしやすいことはかなり重要です。
以上が私が安全靴に求める条件です！
そんな安全靴を探してみました。そして見つかったのがこちら！
アメリカブランドCHIPPEWAのエンジニアブーツです。
ソールはVibramソールで耐油性もバッチリ。しかもグッドウェルト製法なので雨の日や、ソールの交換も可能です。
しかし１つ問題が…そう、履きにくい！！
裾丈が短いエンジニアブーツってほぼないんですよね。
というわけで履きやすくするためにリメイクしました。
目的としてはくるぶしくらいに丈を短くしたい。雨の日に水が入ってくるのは嫌ですから。
そこでメリケン針と麻糸を準備！
裾についているレザーは流用するのでキレイに外していきます。分かるかな？
そしたら裾を大胆にカット。このくらいなら履きやすく小石も入らない裾丈！絶妙ですなあ。裁断バサミで切ってます。
そしたらさっき外したレザーをこんな感じで縫い合わせてと…！
くるっとひっくり返してまた縫い合わせたら出来上がり！！･:*+.(( °ω° ))/.:+
余ったハギレが勿体ないなあ…仕事道具のケースでも作ったろ！ということでこんな感じで作ってみました！
セットにするとまたいい感じでしょ？(笑
この安全靴が同業者の方からめっちゃ好評なんですよねえ！でも売ってないんですよねえ！！すまんなあ！🤥
