Remixing other peoples music was something that was beyond me and something I never thought I could actually pull off. After years of practice, I have accumulated 13 released remixes of musicians across the world! From France back the USA, I have been honored to remix numerous of my good friends songs, and some of musicians I can only hope to meet one day! Remixing is an art of its own, when it comes to song writing! Rearranging and having the ability to manipulate the original layers from the song, is so incredibly fun, yet can be seen as a daunting task.

When given stems of a track, its hard to wrap your mind around how to fit the drums in or how you can layer in their bass over your bass. It is a lot to work with, and if you want to create a unique remix, it takes a lot of work!

The first thing I would do is create your own drums, and then fit the stems or song around those drums, rather than the other way around... which would be to fit your drums over their stems or song. By creating your own drums first you can more easily fit their style over your style and groove. You will have more control and ability to use your imagination, in your own writing style. Hope this helps!

You can have a lot of fun by reversing sounds, stems and vocals. This can totally manipulate the track, but still have the same tone and sounds of the original song. Its a psychedelic effect and if you stretch the samples, you can further create your own sound out of theirs. Its like playing with Play-Doh yo! Have fun, dont think, and use your skills to the max. Its Create your own bass lines, and synths. Its fun to play with the hi-hats from the original song in your remix. Its a playful way to include their drum work!
