Before I get started on recording some more video today I want to get my brain balanced with my intent. I could jump into recording but I know I will waffle. I could also write a script but then I know it will just be like a verbal blogpost. When I sit down to record I realise that I might be here for a larger period of time, before each two hour block, trying to sprint through that hour getting as much in as possible. It’s incredibly isolating when recording courses because you basically go comms dark. It’s even harder when someone is around because they get to hear the imperfections and the restarts - something that I shouldn’t be concerned about but I do.
So I sit here, disconnected from the world, with the wind lashing outside and the trees swaying, nature kept me up last night at 4am with 40 mph winds and an anger theme song whistling through the gap in the door, a reminder of Mother Nature and how she will not be ignored. I was awake a few times I’m guessing as each big gust that hit rocked me suddenly from my slumber. It can certainly feel like Groundhog Day, I’m glad I made progress yesterday but I’m only really a third of the way through on this course and the clients are starting to actually wake up now and want to work, I’m kinda always torn in this way.

recently if I can afford it I’ve been trying to at least take a thirty minute roundtrip walk to the local shops every other day, I need to ramp that up to 150 minutes a week, I’m sitting down for some serious long periods of time and I need to course correct on that because I know my health is effected by it. I’m drinking plenty of water even thou my skin has flared up again overnight, I don’t like seeing dry skin in the mirror because it makes me self conscious when I’m on video. I like to write before getting started to create that reflection time buffer so I know what information I’m going to impart.

Because I spent the time mapping out this post, mind dumping where I was at, kinda self hack journalling, like a file system of the mind if you like I can start, I’m clear about the next video, I’ve got my tabs ready and I can record. I’ve also got a message back from a client so I know after I’ve had my video meeting at 2pm today (I’ve got a new hour sprint now) to get as may clips in as possible to edit later I can reply back to her — today will be quite a busy day, I’ll probably work to a maximum of ten hours today, trying to bill at least half of that, let’s hope I can and wish me luck on the new client coming onboard with em today.
