Why I prefer to do everything with my own hands... one more example.

Preamble.

Custom has it, in Russia everything is not doing in the best way. And no matter how much money you pay for a service or a work. It's just such a tradition... so to say. Only a handful are doing their job well, even for yourself.

So, if you read my blog, you know that I bought a small flat in the mortgage about a year ago. My wife and I done all by our hands in it. Pipes, electrical wiring, lighting, cladding etc. But! There have already been installed a plastic window. And it has given some problems to us - fungus, dampness...

Decision.

In summer, everything was good, as there was no heating in flat. But winter came and situation has repeated.

"Family Council" has decided to destroy everything to hell and see how it was done. We realized that it is not wrong, just starting. Apparently, it was made by blind people with hands in ...

A bit of assembly foam and emptiness

Under window sill the same picture... randomly crammed pieces of styrofoam, wood and assembly foam

Of course ladybugs not teleported to there. There are holes to the outside, rotten assembly foam, no vapor impermeable foil, of course water... To say that we were surprised... no. Yes, it's just a combo!But we were expecting something like that.

Action.

So, we made a list of necessary things and came back fully armed!

• 10 bricks
• Polyurethane foam + gun for it
• Silicone sealant
• 25 kg of cement-sand mix
• 15 meters of a vapor-permeable foil

We have removed all unnecessary. Blew out the foam, cut off after drying, pasted the foil, cemented bricks and cavities.

Unfortunately, at this time of the year it is already quite cold and still wet. We have to wait for several days, when the next layer is dry. I think after 4-6 days we will finish it and will be happy to result!
