Paul and the Holy Spirit: John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him. Acts 19:4

Paul began his third missionary journey starting from the city of Antioch, and from there he crossed the region of Galatia and Phrygia until he reached the city of Ephesus, an important city of the Roman Empire.
And upon arriving in Ephesus, the Book of Acts relates that Paul founded a Church there, which later became a great center for the spread of Christianity.
But beyond this, a very notable event occurred in that city, when Paul met the disciples of John the Baptist who lived there. And it was there that a dialogue about the Holy Spirit began, Paul asked them about the paraclete, but they didn't know him, John the Baptist had never told them about him. And the apostle of the Gentiles there taught them that the Holy Spirit and his gifts were the grace promised by the Lord Jesus to all who believed in him.
And it was then that Paul also explained them that the Spirit of Truth was the third person along with the Father and the Son, and he baptized them in the name of Jesus, and with that baptism, the Book of Acts relates, they received the gifts of the spirit.
In this way, the Book of Acts tells how the conversion of the disciples of John the Baptist to Christianity was:
"While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples and asked them, ´Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?´
They answered, ´No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.´
So Paul asked, ´Then what baptism did you receive?´
´John's baptism,´ they replied.
Paul said, ´John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus.´ On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. When Paul placed his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke in tongues and prophesied. There were about twelve men in all." Acts 19:1-7.
