The father whose son was stripped naked in Bekasi Reluctant to Revoke the Report

Sudirman (50), a father of a persecution boy in North Bekasi, West Java, stated that he continued to proceed with the legal process of persecution that befell his son AJ (12).

AJ with his friend H, suffered persecution due to allegedly stole a jacket belonging to a resident named Nur alias Tuyul (40), Sunday (8/4/2018) ago. They were stripped naked, paraded and violent, due to the allegations.

Sudirman is reluctant to revoke the report in the police, despite request from the perpetrator. "It is already in the process, it has been handled by KPAD and Polres, already," Sudirman said, Monday (16/4/2018).

The parents of the perpetrators and community leaders previously went to Sudirman's house on Saturday (14/4/2019), and asked that he revoke the report. They requested that the persecution issue be resolved in a kinship manner. Sudirman said he had previously given time for the perpetrators to settle the case in a kinship. The time given since the day of the incident, until finally he reported the incident, Thursday (12/4/2018).

"From Sunday's incident, only Thursday is up (legal process) .There have been 5 daily (given time), so from there it is not good faith to come alone," said Sudirman.

The case of the two boys happened precisely in front of Masjid Al Abror, Kampung Rawa Bambu Besar, Bekasi Utara, West Java.

In this case, Polres Metro Bekasi Kota arrested the perpetrator Nur alias Tuyul (40), and still looking for two others involved in the persecution. The perpetrator is suspected of Article 170 of the Criminal Code of committing violence jointly in public, with a maximum imprisonment of 5 years.
