DATA!!! Data can be described as information, facts and statistics that have been collected and translated into useful forms for processing and analysis. The impact of data in the growth of organizations and companies can not be overemphasized as it is the basis for developmental and innovative planning.

Access and use of good and timely data vary within the organization. Some companies may have access to a large database, but without the necessary knowledge of how to use it then it becomes useless like a baseball bat for a footballer. On the other hand, some developers with the expertise of utilizing Data find it difficult to get it.
What is Repux?
Repux is a blockchain protocol that seeks to solve the problem of data collection and utility by creating a platform where people with access to data can easily sell it to developers for Repux tokens and developers can also sell applications created with data for them need for Repux tokens, thus creating a win-win situation for everyone.

Different parties are faced with data problems
Small and medium enterprises (SMEs): SMEs as SMEs in a country's economy can not be ignored. SMEs contribute to 58.5 percent of China's GDP and provide 75 percent of new jobs each year.

In order for these businesses to flourish, they need to conduct innovative business operations, which demand good and quality data. While the acquisition of such data may be confusing due to cost, the ideal data utilization is lost due to lack of technological knowledge.

Developers: Developers are those who use data to create apps that will provide solutions to problems. With the right set of data, developers can create great apps, but most of these developers do not have access to the necessary data.

Machine learning: This is the aspect of AI (artificial intelligence) that gives the agility system to learn and improve its performance, using data. Machine learning uses knowledge of past data to improve itself. In order for machine learning to work properly, there must be access to important data.

Other institutions: Some institutions (eg research and development centers, national libraries, colleges etc.) may have large databases that they do not monetize properly.
How Repux provides a lasting solution to this problem
Repux is a decentralized blockchain protocol that enables the monetization of corporate and user data between different parties. Repux is a data market place built on the Ethereum blockchain where parties can easily trade data.

On the Repux platform, SMB / companies can obtain that data and upload data to Repux IPFS (interplanetary file system) where developers can buy develop unique and beautiful applications that they can sell back to the company. In addition, agencies with large databases can easily upload their data on a fully monetized Repux platform.

Lingering questions are; how do buyers verify the authenticity of data purchased?

Trust is a very important issue in every transaction (especially online transactions) because of the many scams on the internet. Buyers have trouble buying goods from sellers without good feedback reviews. This therefore triggers new sellers to make false feedback about their products, to generate sales. This has led to fraud in relationships between buyers and sellers.

Repetition through the use of blockchain will create a decentralized feedback mechanism, which will provide a solution to the confidence issues that may arise between the parties who are trading data on the Repux platform. By using smart contracts, Repux will ensure that transaction ratings are accurate and reflect their true value.

In my next article about this project I will do a SWOT analysis from REPUX highlighting external and internal factors that may affect the potential success of this platform.
