help me get my rep up please :)

i am new to steemit, and i have been commenting on post and putting up a few of my own. But i still have a low rep can i please get some votes or tips (lol) on how increase my rep score from 25. do i need alot of steem tokens or what? thanks for your help.

Downvoting a post can decrease pending rewards and make it less visible. Common reasons:
