Adventures in Puckitude
We rescued Puck on December 23rd. She was a little nervous initially, which we all understood having had the rough recent past that she had had. So we all gave her a little extra space and love. She slept wherever she wanted, but always semi-appropriately. She napped on the couch; on the little bed we had for her, and at the foot of our beds like a fuzzy, warm little angel.

Forewarned is Forearmed
When I adopted our sweet Puck, the shelter lady tried to 'warn' me about her, I'm sure to try to avoid any further returns of this puppers. 'She sheds!' she warned. I giggled, because this dog is maybe 20 pounds of delight. I've had Saint Bernards before. Enough to say I was NOT afraid of a little dog fur!
"And... she eats" she tells me. Again, see above and focus on Saint Bernards. Here is a picture of my boys, Jaro and Big :

Yeah. These two once got up on our bar-height dining room table, passed up the platter of turkey, ignored the scattered dishes and ate a Boston Cream Pie. So a tiny little dog 'shedding' and 'eating'? Bring. it. On.
Until One Night
My entire house was asleep. I had recently gone to bed, after having spent countless hours doing something very important on Steemit... or playing poker. Or playing my xbox. Or something, anyway, I was asleep, ok? Suddenly, I hear our darling little dog whining and crying! Groggily, I stir only to have her leap up onto my bed, directly to my face, whining very insistantly.
I grabbed her little face and felt... something. "Oh GROSS", I thought.
Her whining was more and more insistant so I grabbed this warm, pliable but firm thing and tried to take it out of her mouth. It wouldn't move.
'Oh shit, what the ever loving hell?!?'
I pulled more insistantly and still It didn't move. So I gently pried open her jaws and pulled this thing out. Being 3:00 in the morning, it was pitch black so I staggered to the kitchen to see what I had saved my poor little doggy from.
Grimicing in anticipation at what I was holding in my hand, it took me a few seconds before I understood what I was holding; a third of a block of Swiss Cheese.
This dog had gotten all of the way up onto the kitchen counter, unwrapped the cheese I had forgotten and tried to eat it all at once, only to get her jaw STUCK. She couldn't open her jaw any wider to get the cheese out, nor could she close her mouth since the block was so big. So she came to mama for help.
