Over 15 institutions led by the Florida Museum of Natural History in US is planning to create a data base of high-resolution 30 scans of vertebrates.
A fund of $2.5 mn has been granted by the National Science Foundation.
Named openVertebrate or oVert, it will help researchers, educators, students & the general public.
This will help students 3D print skulls of various invertebrates for studies.
