Osteria da Luca located in the heart of Venice has been punished with a fine of 20,000 euros for charging an account of 1,143 euros to four Japanese students for four steaks, a plate of fried fish and two glasses of red wine, according to the newspaper La Nuova Venezia
The four Japanese tourists did not complain about the food, but about the price, which they thought was a robbery. That is why they filed a complaint, after their trip to Venice in a police station in Bologna, where these university students reside. As proof they showed the receipt of the credit card, but not the fiscal invoice, that the restaurant did not give them, reason why it has been fined.
The fine has been imposed after the control carried out by the local police in a place that is run by Chinese citizens. No irregularities were found from the commercial and health point of view for the closure of the company.
