Retail workers nightmare

Can't help but feel bad for the majority of people that work in retail, first of all I would like to point out that it's a job and just a job at that, it pays the bills (sort off) period......
So what is this blog about, well to put it bluntly its about what we, yes I am one too, have to go though day after day, this nightmare that retail corporations force the workers to act out on a continuous basis without a minute to take a breather and time to get you senses together in this world of customer service.

So lets start with this list and I would really like to see if I am the only one that lied on my CV when I said that I'm a people person, for starters for very little more then minimum wage we have to wear not only a horrible 100% polyester uniform and they have their say down to the very colour of the underwear you have wear but a smile pasted across your face even if you are sweating and inching from this classy star trek outfit, not only that but they like to print their stores name all over it from back to front and then you have to pin badges that are made to open up and stab you in your chest while you do your work, maybe to keep you awake while you do your mindless task. Then you have to do your timed procedures while you are being watched by the clueless managers who follow not their own guts but the stores rules to the very word and god help us if we stray from the rules let alone make a mistake, they will have in the office to give us a daily whipping unless you get a right arse you will do it right on the spot and intimidate and embarrass you while you are trying to serve a customer to remind you that he is a boss and you are just a number, it doesn't matter if you are covering tills but you still have to finish your time task and stay till they are done, mostly unpaid.
Then there are the customers, now don't get me wrong, most of them are fine but there are the one or two that will pissed you off so much that you would like to put your hands round their skinny neck and squeeze as hard as you can, unfortunately that would mean that the store may lose a customer and you may get the sack. These people think they are always right and will cause a big fuzz to prove they are right, not that you have worked with this company for ten years or so and this idiot is completely wrong, the rules are the customer is always right and don't expect the manager will back you up especially when THE CUSTOMER IS ALWAYS F**KING RIGHT.

Then its home time and you think that you can escape this prison to fight another day but they stop you and to waste more of your time and will have a word with you about how you can approve your work and increase your productivity. Ok that's it so you thought , then comes a bag and body search just incase you thought you are loyal, hard working and trustworthy you are not and they will treat you like a bloody shoplifter for your time. I have even had to remove.my socks once haha

When I said that it for the day, will I lied, you may think its your day off or it's your time but its not, they own you and will ring you to come in a do a shift whenever they like, let it be in the middle of the night or your at your mums funeral they will ring you and then they want to know what you will be doing and what you have been doing if you say no and in great detail.......
