I've moved to Hive, along with most other people, following Justin Sun's takeover of Steem in the Spring of 2020. I believe hive is a lot more decentralised than Steem!

Heck yeah! FREEDOM!

Get yourself a nice fertile plot of land and go crazy with the garden. Also, when I am in the UK and metal detect parks and such I come home with a good amount of quid. Plus it is fun!

Really? With the netal detecting I mean. I never thought it might actually be a profitable hobby!

Yeah, with all your high denomination coins its like a piggy bank underneath the park ground. The biggest common coin we have here is 25 cents, which is like 20p. You have 50p then 1 and 2 pound coins!

I made in the range of 4 or 5 quid an hour while having fun treasure seeking. Of course, you would eventually have to move on to a different area.

Congratulations on your early retirement. Best wishes in your future endeavours. I am sure it will all work out according to your plan. Cheers!

Congrats!

Congrats on getting out of the rat race! You can also consider moving to a low cost country, granted its a big change, but why not try something different? That's what I did and am loving it. YOLO!!!!

I might do... but the plan is buy in the UK first, then I can rent that out and then rent long term abroad, maybe.

Good to hear you 'finnally' freed your self! All the best with your endeavours! I'll be here to see and cheer you on.

Congrats on the early retirement and we hope everything does end up going to plan. Take back the freedom to do what you want to do in life. 😊

I really admire you and it’s something I would love to do. You mentioned that you couldn’t have relationships or kids . Relationships in particular. True relationships cost money but are they worth sacrificing for your ultimate goal? What do you think?

I'd never criticse anyone for putting a relationship/ kids before early retirement - it's worth the sacrifice for most people!

Happy Semi-Retirement Karl.

@revisesociology you were flagged by a worthless gang of trolls, so, I gave you an upvote to counteract it! Enjoy!!

Thank you so much, although it was only 1 downvote from a 15 SP account with very depleted VP... still don't understand why they flagged me.

Congratulations on the early retirement! We are all jealous but equally happy for you. :)

The 50-50 seems like a good goal since im just starting out with my career. Hope i could do this too later in life.

Good going. Too bad you have to move. Who needs kids?
