7 Days Of Silence. Part 1

After spending more than six months in the "Land Of Smiles", feel the pressing need to absorb some of this magical and at the same time intimidating force of the spiritual world. Adhering to "try it to understand it" I signed up for a retreat ...)

Preparations for retreat consisted of filling the application form on the Web site of Meditation Center, shopping the "spacious" clothing and procrastination..)

The road from Phuket to Koh Samui takes about 7 hours and cost 450 bahts.

On arrival at the Meditation Center provides approximately 20 minutes of time to call relatives and friends. All valuables (phone, Tablet, ...) are deposited. Next, you register, instructions, then choose the work you will perform daily for 15-20 minutes: it can be working in the dining room (floor sweeping or wiping tables or wiping of dishes etc) or street sweeper tracks or cleaning toilets. The work is part of the practice of meditation does not require physical effort, but requires care and concentration.

That was my pillow for 7 days..

In addition to the 7 days there are 10, 15 and 30 day retreats, but for me personally, the week was enough to feel savour of meditation to increased enthusiasm for home practice.
