Popular Computing Weekly is a magazine that was published weekly in the U.K. Weekly! I am not aware of any computer magazines being published that often in the U.S. at that time. That would have been pretty neat, especialy at less than $1.

The issue of the week of March 20-26, 1986 includes:

  • News - Olivetti shuns Acorn in educational drive
  • Competition - Design a picture and win a graphics tablet
  • Graphics - The Future - David Lawrence looks at developments in computer graphics
  • Graphics - The Hardware - The best way of getting your ideas to the TV screen
  • Spectrum - Shoot Out! Blast the baddies but watch out for the Cactus
  • Amstrad - Myriad colors using interlacing - we show you how
  • QL - Art - create your own designs
  • BBC - Compress your graphics with this compacting algorithm
  • Letters
