The Atari Lynx is one of the couple of older handhelds I still own. The problem I have with most of the older handhelds isn't the graphics or resolution, it's the motion blur and washed out colors.

Pac-Land is one of the games in the Pac-Man franchise and came out in the arcades in 1984. Unlike the previous maze games, this iteration of Pac-Man is a side-scrolling adventure game, similar in style to Super Mario Brothers that would come out about a year later. Pac-Man in Pac-Land resembles Pac-Man in the cartoon that was also on the air around that time.

The Atari Lynx version of Pac-Land came out in 1991 and follows a long standing tradition by Atari at this point of re-releasing their old arcade hits over and over again. Pac-Land really isn't one of the better known games in the Pac-Man series but I think it is somewhat underrated. It's a halfway decent early side-scrolling platform game and the Lynx port is very good. In fact, the Atari Lynx is the only portable version aside from a more recent iOS version.

Pac-Land is available on a wide variety of platforms, including the Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari ST and TurboGrafx-16 among others. More recent ports include the aforementioned iOS version, as part of Namco Museum Volume 4 for the PlayStation and as part of Pac-Man Museum for Xbox Live Arcade, Windows and the PlayStation Network. It also appeared on Nintendo's Virtual Console for the Wii U. However, if you want a portable version, I recommend the Atari Lynx.
