I never owned an Atari 2600 (aka VCS), but I played 2600 games all the time on my Atari clone, the Coleco Gemini. Though I don't have memories of the console, I have plenty of the games, which is just as important, if not, more so. Still, can't have the games without the console. So I made a video out of The Retroist podcast about the 2600. It's basically a short documentary. Enjoy!

I bought a 2600 again like 4 or 5 years ago :)
Still the best thing to play once in a while. Berzerk was and is still my fav from the 2600.

Yep! They were indeed, unless you screwed the pooch! Yeah, they would play until sunup sometimes, playing breakout of all games. LOL We had to fight for game time, which usually meant after school before they got home. :-)
