Hi everyone! I'm not a member of this sub but I was thinking about this on my drive home yesterday while listening to Stuff You Should Know (great podcast by the way). In the United States, we learn the American Revolution was rooted in unrest from increased, shall we say oppression, from the English crown. Therefore, those notable individuals who lead the opposition are considered heroes, but should we have lost, those same heroes would've likely been executed for treason. Given the typical American glorification for all things, I'm just curious how the events are typically taught and viewed in the UK.
Remember me in your prayers thanks.
