Why you should watch it

Altered carbon is a great new cyberpunk mystery tv show that came out this year. It's mind boggling from the first episode already when you see what it's all about. The show is set in some kind of a future where humans have stacks implanted in their necks where they store consciousness so when they die they just get transported to another body. So if you have enough resources you can live forever. The main plot of this show is especially mind boggling: A guy wakes up 250 years later in another body when he is hired to solve the murder of a guy who hired him.

Now troughout the episodes you get flashbacks of the past and you start to connect some things, each episode there's always some mystery, but when you realize there's so much more here it becomes really intense. The acting was not bad either, with some good performances by James Purefoy and Joel Kinnamon respectively. You should really binge this show if you didn't already, as I'm telling you there isn't any show like this out there.

Satisfying ending and opening for the future

They really cleared things up in the end and gave as a satisfying ending, with some things still left to uncover. This tv show is based on a novel by Richard K Morgan and there are two sequels of the novel written. Now there still isn't word out there if this show will be renewed but if it does (and I think it will) it will probably be based on the other two novels called Broken Angels and Woken Furies, but who knows maybe they decide to go on another route.

I might give it a watch. I like watching shows that are finished. I hate waiting for the next episode.
