I have been a fan of Penn and Teller since I was a little kid watching Behind the Scenes on PBS. I just found their 2003 miniseries, Penn and Teller's Magic and Mystery Tour while browsing Amazon Prime and recovering from a painful burn.

As a CBC production, it is largely devoid of the vulgar language of some of the duo's other shows like Bullshit, but there are a couple times a some of the illusions involve copious quantities of fake blood that may disturb some viewers.

The first episode about the fabled Indian Rope Trick has the most content that may cause viewers to cringe. The second episode recounts the traditional illusions of Chinese magic and offers a tour of a modern Chinese monument to illusion that seems to be unable to make audiences appear. The third explores the Egyptian origins of the cup-and-ball trick, and ends with a climax of Penn and Teller performing that trick along with an explanation of how they do it.

If you enjoy magic, history, and unique perspectives of foreign culture, give the show a watch!
