I don't typically wear rings...
But recently I've been eyeing a few rings from Fable England, an online shop that has such a cute variety of rings, with designs that remind me of illustrations from Peter Rabbit.
Unfortunately, I don't really know my size, and when it comes to rings, knowing your size is really important! So, I decided, I should invest in a ring measurement tool.
I found one online from Amazon, which cost £4.79, which is about 25 STEEM.
The kit
So, I thought, for the best value, I should buy a kit, as just the ring measurement tool by itself seems too be a bit much.
This kit I got includes various tools such as ring "spacers".
The kit
I'll go through the pieces bit by bit, as it's a bit hard to identify each part (I don't really know how to refer to them).
Stickers
In the picture above, the kit came with 3 sheets of these padded stickers, that you would stick to the underside of the ring, in order to pad it to fit (if the ring was too big).
I like the idea of these as they will be stuck so no chance of it coming off. But, I would probably only use these on cheaper rings, as I don't really know how the glue of the sticker will affect the ring.
plastic padders
These plastic half rings have a similar purpose as the stickers, they feel not too hard or sharp, so I think these would definitely feel comfortable. They came with different thickenesses to match the bands of any rings you get, which I thought was a good idea. I could see these slipping off though.
Spiral plastic
The package directs you to cut these long spiral strands of plastic to the length you need. These spiral bits of plastic wrap around the band of your ring. So similar to the plastic padders and the stickers, but no glue, and seems to be more likely to not come off!
Polishing cloth
The kit also came with a polishing cloth, which was nice as it will help maintain my future jewellery!
The main thing...
ring measurement tool
Obviously, my aim was to buy this ring measurement tool! You wrap it around your finger (each finger has a different size) and you loop it as if it was a ring. The number indicated by the "buckle" (far left end) is the ring size ! I hope this works and I'm excited to get a Fable England ring.
