I'd conclude that it has been a good week.
Just over a week ago, I heard about a new social media platform that also pays its users in crypto. Figuring I had nothing to lose, I jumped in to give it a go. Here is a recent video I made sharing about my experience so far.

Much like when I first joined steemit, I didn't have any real clue of what I was getting myself into. However, I've learned that exploring uncharted territory and going beyond your normal comfort zone can be rewarding, so I gave it a go.
In the past week, I've met some new people, enjoyed some good content, interacted with some people from all around the world, and found a new outlet for my creativity and content. Additionally, I've earned a bit of crypto doing it. The format is a little different from steemit, in that you only get so much text per card, but you can "fold" the cards to share more. Some of the newer users that joined from steemit claim that they get more interaction and views over on sola, so that can be a bonus.

Like I said, I'm still learning the ropes and gaining understanding about the platform, but so far I am enjoying my time over there too. Has anyone else checked out sola yet? If so, what are your thoughts or conclusions about it? Here is a short video I found about it, if anyone is interested.

Do you have any suggestions on how to filter content, find specific people, etc? On Steemit we have those we follow, "trending", "hot", "new" and "promoted" whereas on sola it seems that random posts appear and the navigation isn't super straight forward

Signed up with Sola just yesterday, haven't spent enough time there yet to give an honest opinion but so far two people have given it a "thumbs up" so will be checking it out more. Thanks for the info, good to see others are finding it a positive addition for Steemians.

Love knowing about this other decentralized social media platform. Was looking for about section or FAQ, think I have to get the app to see and feel Sola. Will use the link @papa-pepper. 😄 Now I got to know another platform like Steemit to suggest brother and hopefully he will successfully get in and don't forget any password like what happened to his newly signed up Steemit account. hey papa pepper. I joined not long ago too and have logged in a couple times and posted once. I haven't explored the site i felt pretty lost trying to navigate it. Hearing you say it's more for phone use makes me feel a bit better, maybe i'll get it on my phone. I noticed the huge interaction too, all I did was post one of my old videos to test and earned some SOL or whatever the currency is. Maybe i'll give it some more time, it's really different to Steemit.

I'm interested to check this out. The more short-form post could be very time effective when there just isn't the time for a full post. And some thoughts and ideas to be shared don't need a long form post.

I just registered through your link but I cant figure out how to look at other postings or navigate it at all I don't seem to have a profile , all I get is a blank screen LOL! Now I cqnt figure out how to go back there haha ! 😀😂
Edited / Never mind I downloaded the app , and I can now swipe through cards but on my Chromebook I don't get a full screen and it doesn't switch over when flip my Chromebook over to touch screen. But I can see what you mean by how its made cell phones as I only get a skinny version in the middle of screen . I will keep trying to figure it out as I get more time ! I signed up after your previous post, so I've been on there for nearly a week also.
It is a different format. It's more of a twitter-type experience, with very small amounts of content. it it also much more geared towards a mobile experience.
So, Steemit for posting photos and stories and articles and discussion pieces.
Sola for posting pics and short insights, witty remarks etc. I'm going to try uploading holiday pics from y road trip over the Christmas break and see how that goes.
I don't think Sola is a competitor for Steemit, as they serve different purposes. I think it makes sense to be on both platforms.
I think this is just the start of a number of places where you get paid in crypto for uploading your photos and interacting with others.
A whole new way to earn a living. Freedom is nearly within sight ;-)
