[SPOILER ALERT! Watch out for spoilers from the episode!]

Fitz-Simmons Episodes are the absolute best! Hilarious, Terrifying, and given how much we've seen these characters grow, with great depth. And gosh, aren't these two the absolute cutest? Okay, I know... that's too much 'absolutes' in one paragraph. But the episode was just that great.

One aspect which makes this episode so enthralling is the seamless way it blends the two's present with their past (joint and separate) memories and their imaginations. And not just these, but their past personalities also. We get to see Jemma literally regress into her seven-year old self, we are given an amazing throwback to the nerdy Fitz-Simmons of season one, we even see them back in their academy days. Each scene is chock-full of emotion, plus the episode brings back The Doctor, who is always exciting to watch. Oh, and let's not forget the Jemma-demon! How cool was that?

The episode begins with the couple united in a strange white room, which they take immediately to be some sort of prison, especially as there are no entrances or exits to speak of, and the chronicom Atarah appears in and out without any methods accesible to them. But they are content. After over a year apart, they are finally back together and that's all that matters. Atarah's threat that they will never escape if they don't solve the mysteries o ftime-travel? That doesn't matter. The tech that enables items from their memory appear in the white room doesn't even intrigue them in the slightest. That is, until the inevitable topics of discussion starts coming up, topics which Jemma would prefer to shy away from in the meantime. And shy away she does, turning into her seven-year old self to refuse answering Fitz questions about her journey into the future. And that is when they discover that Atarah's prison is not so much putting them in a high tech cell, but joining their minds together, an act which she does despite protests form Enoch that they could end up brain-dead. The machine was not meant for human beings with their plethora of emotions clouding thier aptitude to reason.

Meanwhile, in the mind prison, Fitz-Simmons' emotions begin transforming the place into a horrifying place. fraught with their fears and past memories. A version of Jemma we've never seen before--a demon-Jemma who cares only for experimenting with biology shows up, having been locked up in her mind for years. The Doctor shows up, that alternate version of Fitz that was unlocked in the Framework, complete with a squad of Hydra guards. From then on, it's a game of hide and seek while they both try to figure out their emotions over Fitz' time-paradox, Coulson's death, their separation fo so long and all the pain they've endured since the beginning.

At last, when they at last come to an understanding and reiterate their undying love (while yelling at each other, I should add, though the 'unstoppable together' bit was jsut thrilling!), they step out to face the worst parts of themselves... only to see that those two have fallen for each other also. Apparently Fitz-Simmons are a perfect match, even down to their demons.

At this point, Enoch, who has been becoming increasing distressed by Atarah's treatment of the two, takes 'bold action', takes down his fellow chronicons, and frees the couple. Then they teleport out of the ship, finally heading home.

Meanwhile, back on Earth, Mack and Daisy are deep in conversation about what has happened, and Mack realizes that the same phenomena that took out the Chronicon home planet was coming for them, brought about by Not-Coulson and his crew...
