The 2018 Honda Accord is the latest iteration in Honda's best selling sedan that has lasted 40 years. Not only have they given the series an external make over, they have also changed what's under the hood! Honda has gone above and beyond customer expectations by designing a car that is not only affordable but also excites car enthusiasts!

I drove the 2018 Honda Accord for 6 months and 4000 miles and this is my review of the things I noticed, loved and what I would love to see on the next iteration!

Things I love about my 2018 Honda Accord

1. Its a daily driver car and a affordable sports car in one

Once I had driven the 2018 Honda Accord I made a bold decision to not test drive other cars. The affordable price, the sport mode, the powerful 2.0 Liter turbo charged engine (I upgraded!), Android Auto / Apple Car Play Integration and the stylish exterior convinced me this was the car for me. As they say.. I fell in love and the rest is history. It was everything I hoped for and more!

2. I never have to lock or unlock the car

The last time I took the keys out of my pocket (near my car) was when I bought it at the showroom. This is one of the features that Honda's design team has really thought through!

To lock my car, all I have to do is walk away from it and .. you guessed it, it locks! However if I want to lock it before I walk away, all I have to do is gently touch a spot on the door handle.

To unlock the car all I have to do is slide my hand into the door handle before pulling it open. It is so quick that it feels intuitive.

This is a big one - It has Android Auto and Apply Car Play

Google Maps integration with Android Auto / Apple Car Play has to be the best feature which also promotes driver safety. Drivers don't have to look into a tiny phone screen anymore and can instead use the large display on the dashboard.

Android auto also allows applications like Spotify to be used from the touch screen interface.

It is Incredibly Spacious

Whether you are in the front seats, back seats or in the boot (oops!) the Honda Accord has always had class leading cabin and boot space and the 2018 Honda Accord only adds even more space.

Notice the ample amount of leg space in the rare seats.

The boot is so huge you can easily fit 3 large sized bags in there. (Recently tested this)

The Temperature Control Knobs

Honda has paid attention to tiny details that can improve driving experience. When the temperature control is turned on, decreasing the temperature changes the knob lights to blue.

And increasing the temperature changes the knob lights to red.

Things I would love to see in the next iteration

Get rid of the push button gear shift

Yes, it is not a manual transmission! BUT replacing the gear shift with push buttons robs the excitement out of the driving experience. Honda, if you are listening - Get rid of the push button gear shifts!
