Thank you for the follow + comments! Brian Evenson is one of my favorite writers of all time, and definitely an interesting, varied type of writer. He plays with reality a lot and is not constrained by genre at all. 10 out of 10, would recommend.

    Playing with reality, and moving beyond the constraints of genre are elements that pique my interest. Thanks again for the detailed review, I will be adding this book to my reading list, and I will look into Brian Evenson's work some more.
