First time playing this game, there was a sense of worry in my heart.

What if the first series that appears on the PS3 is not as exciting as the PS2?

But ignorance is, how ever this game should be tried.

The game that many fans have been waiting for is not to be missed.

1. Still carrying the typical interface of God of War

images(2).jpg

Entering the start menu, no changes, keep it simple and not much choice.

There are only New Game options, Load Game, Options, and Treasures.

Views like this does seem to make curious what kind of gameplay will be offered.

The game starts, the difference in graphics quality is felt.

Understandably, the image output reaches FHD 1080i. There is a feeling of great satisfaction to see the image quality improvement.

From the audio quality, there is an increase but not too felt because of the PS2 era was good.

In terms of control, you will quickly get used, because the controls are similar to previous games even though there are some minor changes.

2. Improvement on the gameplay so it is not boring

images(4).jpg

After going through the beginning of the story, there is a development on the gameplay.

Variation of attack increases and is not monotonous (except in finishing move).

Now the enemy can be used as a shield to bump into another.

You can also break down your enemies or even withdraw you using a chain attached to the Kratos twin blades.

A Cerberus can be ridden when it is weak and can be controlled to attack the other.

The final attack for the bigger enemy has not changed much, only changing in the final way.

One thing that is quite cool in this game is the effect of blood on the body of our hero, namely Kratos.

Every time you make the final move then no doubt blood will splatter into the body of Kratos and cause our blood-drenched hero.

This makes the game feel more realistic.

3. This game continues the story of God of War II

images(5).jpg

In terms of God of War III story is not disappointing.

The mixture between Greek mythology and the artificial story surrounding Kratos makes the story always curious because it deviates from the true Greek mythological story.

Everyone who plays this game is curious about what will happen when the godly warrior challenges the god, his own father.

The feelings you get when playing God of War II will be repeated in the series this time, it may even feel more exciting.

Very reasonable if this game appears in the edition of Greatest Hits.

Anyone who says that this game is not good is probably not a gamer, or even too afraid to play it.

Fear of leaving the real world and turning to the world of the gods.

If you play the previous game, God of War II, then this game is a continuation of the ending in God of War II.

At the end of God of War II, we know that Kratos succeeded in getting the Titans to go to Mount Olympus to attack the goddesses of Mount Olympus inhabitants.

Well, in God of War III, the Olympus climbing scene is shown as the opening of this game.

In a nutshell, this game tells the struggle of Kratos to take revenge against all the gods who had ever sought a problem with her.

There will be many characters who make the story of life Kratos more clear and reveals the past and give an explanation.

4. Graphics are really above the average PS3 game

images(6).jpg

Somehow, but this game has a very good look.

I am serious, this game is really beautiful (though the story is dark and terrible).

From the depth of the highly detailed and high-resolution environment, to the highly realistic, even more realistic, reflections of water from GTA V.

Physics water and the movement of objects such as leaves and fabrics are also practically close to real life.

The sensation of playing is almost like watching a 3D animated movie ala Final Fantasy VII Advent Children.

More precisely, like the cutscene look in PS2 games that still use a cutscene display in the form of 3D video, not the result of rendering of the game.

One thing that makes this game capable of offering very high quality graphics is because this game is not open world type, so the game does not need to render everything.

If God of War is an open world game, it could be that the graphics will not be as sharp and clear as it is today.

5. The camera's viewing angle is very cinematic and describes the surroundings

images(3).jpg

The distinctive feature of God of War is the taking of a very dynamic and cinematic camera viewing angle. It's as if the person who arranges this is a director of photography Oscar-winning films. In some places, the camera zooms out and shows where we are as a whole and that allows us to understand the situation thoroughly. Thanks to this dynamic camera's point of view, you will know how big the world is in this game and how massive your places are. This made me feel the splendor of the palace where the Olympian gods were. In some places, the camera will move sides so the gameplay will not be covered. And also when against some bosses or enemies, the camera's point of view will change following Kratos's execution move. It is very pampering the eye and makes the transition between the gameplay and the cutscene not so noticeable. In fact there are some moments that make me think that it is a cutscene, so the controller I do not play, but apparently is a gameplay.

6. Improvement on detail God of War III

images(10).jpg

With the increase in graphics, certainly not surprising that in terms of display more details as well. But what about animation and gameplay? In the past the two Kratos sword blades will tetiba back in place-that is, on the back of Kratos-when he starts walking again, there is now an animation of Kratos's hand putting the twin blades back on his back while walking. Blood sprays can also be seen all over Kratos's body and also everywhere when you rip your opponent's body while playing. When you ride some of your enemies, it will be seen that Kratos is trying to balance his body in order not to fall. So it is with the monster that you ride, he will stagger because forced to walk by Kratos.

7. Sound effects and voice acting are very cool God of War III

images(9).jpg

Either when you snatch your weapons, or when you launch a special move, the sound effects of the weapon itself are very nice to hear. This makes me personally like to use weapons even if there is no enemy just to hear the sound effects generated by Kratos weapons. In terms of voice acting, do not need to be asked, Santa Monica really total in doing it. In addition to recalling the voice of characters who have appeared before, for the characters that appear in the game there are several names that should be known. I will not mention the role of each voice because it will be a spoiler, but I will mention anyone. There is Malcolm McDowell who plays on Halloween (2007) and its sequel, as well as Kevin Sorbo. Even the behind the scene video from the process of charging sounds in my opinion quite exciting to watch.

8. Animation of the enemy's execution is very spoil eye though somewhat repetitive God of War III

images(8).jpg
Every enemy and boss have different execution animations so the gameplay is not too boring. But the number of animated executions of each enemy is not so much, so if you are often faced with the enemy that it-it alone would gradually be bored using execution move and choose to kill in the normal way. But we are lucky because each boss has a unique execution move and is very difficult to forget. I will not tell how the bosses were killed because it will be a spoiler, but Kratos obviously will kill them in very sadistic ways and make me frown.

9. Many unique new enemies God of War III

images(7).jpg

In addition to the trivial kroco that usually likes to appear in all God of War series, there are some additional new enemies as well as old enemies who have a new movement. Some Greek mythological creatures were raised in this game as a Kratos barrier in the process of his revenge. For example Centaur, Chimera, and Cyclops. All of them are enemies that I can not wait to see because of the special and not boring process of defeating them. When defeating Cyclops for example, when he is weak after you attack many times, then you can ride him and instead control him to attack other enemies. Cerberus can also be ridden and used to attack kroco-kroco until Cerberus is dead because it is too weak. Especially for Chimera, he has two fighting modes, namely when he becomes an antelope that runs on four legs and also when he stands upright and shows the face of a lion. But be careful, he can strike with the tail of a snake that moves very fast.

Obviously you must learn to avoid and parry your opponent's attack if you intend to finish this game with difficulty above Normal.

10. Puzzles are more unique and quite challenging God of War III

gaminesia_ps3-god-of-war-iii-10.jpg

Like the previous games, God of War III gives players the puzzles that must be completed if you want to move on to the next step. But still, though difficult, the puzzle will not be so hard that you can not finish it. After all, if you feel stuck in a puzzle, just go to YouTube and see the tutorial. But if you want to feel this game by animating it, do not use any help.

CONCLUSION

Advantage

  • The graphics are really beautiful
  • A deep story
  • Puzzles that are not boring

Disadvantages

  • Too many enemies are just that (repetitive)
