The Foreigner

I have seen a lot of movies in my days. Some bad some good. But this one is one of the best I seen for a while. The acting from Jackie Chan is sublime. The normal goofy acting is gone and a mature emotional Jackie Chan is new to me. I had my doubts about this movie because of the past movies made by Mr. Chan. But damn this was a good one.

I do however feel a little sad with the acting from Pierce Brosnan. As an Irish born it should not have felt so made. I know it sounds strange but sometimes I had a feeling he was trying his best to speak like an Irishman when he in fact is one. This of course could be my own feeling.

Spoilers might happen after this title :D

The story evolved from a random bombing to something so nice. I really felt sorry for the main character. The plot twists where amazing. The action driven scenes where different then what we normally expect from Jacki Chan. There were some that we could see his martial arts and as always those where just great.

At some times the talking felt like it was taking too long to convey the story. But the intrigue and the build ups made up for that by a lot!?

I could ramble about it all I want. But it is one of the best movies I seen in a long while. It might not be for everyone but even if you don’t like action and intrigues and bombings this is a must watch!

Sort Order:

how much would you give him out of 10?

I believe a 8.8 is in order. I would give it more, but the acting of Pierce was lacking

I heard jacky chan is doing all his stunts himself right? That is extraordinary :)

Indeed it is, amazing martial arts skills (and very nimble for his age :D)
