Google Home Hub to share iot control experience with Mini

Hi

Let's talk about IoT control sharing experience through Google Home Hub and Mini while bringing IoT related devices one by one.

Originally operated through clova, Google Home Hub informally speak Korean? I applied to Google Home Hub.

Key features include:

  1. Digital picture frame

There is one Google Home Hub in my room, but I have put the same Google Home Hub in my parents' house.

The main purpose of my parents' Google Home Hub is to share family photo frames.

Leverage the sharing feature of Google Photos to instantly upload photos to your family share folder.

New photos will appear in the home hub of the dike and the parents' room in Gangwon-do.

Even though I don't see you often, I've installed it because I want to inform you of my recent situation and see my recent photos.

 My parents were very satisfied.

Take advantage of the light sensor and automatically switch to the watch when it is completely dark.

You can change the picture through various settings.
  1. IoT device control
I think it's the main feature.

You can do things like talking on a cell phone or turning on or off a light bulb, turning on a monitor or fan air conditioner.

The IoT devices I currently have are:

 1) Xiaomi Ceiling Lamp

Function: lighting on / off, lighting brightness 0 ~ 99, lighting color adjustment (6 limited colors)

Pros: The biggest thing you can do is adjust the color and brightness in addition to the IoT function.

You can change it with words. I think the biggest advantage is that you can change the daylight color and the light bulb color according to the situation.

 2) Xiaomi Wireless Fan 2S

Function: Fan On, Off, Fan Wind Speed Control

"Turn the fan on", "Turn off the fan", "Turn on your fan speed 2"

This feature is all about Google Home Hub (There may be more but could not find them)

(Of course, you can perform more detailed functions in the Mi Home app.)

Below is the control screen of Mi Home.
  1. hk networks smart plug

    Function: On, Off

The plug itself is only on and off but can be mapped to various devices.

For example, connect to the monitor and turn on the monitor, turn off the monitor.

Connect to the electric blanket, "Turn on the electric blanket", "Turn off the electric blanket"

Of course, a more detailed setting is possible through a dedicated app. (When on and when off ...)

    1. hk networks smart remote control mbox

Function: register various IR remote control

These are the remotes that I use in my room.

Fan, mobile air conditioner, beam projector.

These are of course not possible to connect to the IoT, and what makes this possible is the smart remote control.

I have a Xiaomi remote control but it did not work well due to country settings.

   This is well compatible

Various remotes are registered, but you can manually register unregistered remotes.

   Map each button

The picture below shows a fan mapping.

   All buttons can be mapped.

Of course there are limitations. The power on and off must be registered with the button name power on and power off to turn on and off.
  1. Routine Management

All of this is actually an environment created for use in this situation.

If you say "I'm going", "Turn on the air conditioner", "Turn on the fan", "Turn on the lights" will be activated sequentially.

If you turn on the projector, turn on the projector, turn off the monitor, turn off the lights.

Mon-Fri at 6 am "Turn on the lights", "Tell me the weather today", "Tell me the schedule today", "Turn on the quiet song" is automatically activated.

You can define routines this way.

If you give a "go out" command 10 minutes before you arrive, you'll be in a very cool situation when you enter the house.

Currently, this is all about this function, but I think I can control more routines and more situations with the remote control and plug combination.

I'm satisfied enough.

ps. Oh Google Home Mini is used in the kitchen to turn on the living room lights.

  1. Xiaomi Light (Living Room)

Function: lighting on, brightness adjustment, color change (16 million colors)

Unlike the ceiling lamps, the variety of colors is an advantage.

Of course, sometimes I show my friend once and change it to the original daylight color.

"Light yellow" "Light soft"

Thanks for reading.

I don't know if the picture went up ~
