I watched and loved Indiana Jones as a child, but watching it again was like seeing it for the first time. I remembered the characters, but forgot everything that happened. It made the movie that much more exciting, getting to rediscover it, even with a lingering sense of nostalgia. It was also nice to revisit as an adult with an understanding of Nazi history. I wasn't aware of the political side as a child, it was just good vs. bad, and those bad guys only existed in movies, as far as I was concerned.
I can see why Indiana Jones is such a classic character. Though he remains morally questionable, he's a decent man, and a smart one too. I love movies that require strategy and resourcefulness, especially when the way they solve it is unpredictable, and RotLA hits that nail on the head.
That's what made the movie good. The plot twists, as well as the action, suspense, and romance. Lots of iconic moments too. Ones that shaped a generation, I'd say.
Watching this was a blast to the past, so if you haven't seen it in awhile, that's something you should change!
And if you haven't seen it, well, what's the matter with you?!
