This short and sweet movie follows the stories of the women that work at an Australian department store in 1959.
I found it a good passive movie to watch while I did something else, like play with my 7 week old crazy kittens. There's some drama to liven it up, but if I'm being perfectly honest, I kept waiting for something bad to happen and it never did. After watching shows like Game of Thrones, I've grown accustomed to tragic plot twists, and might I say it was rather refreshing to watch a movie without all that.
It covered some marriage, inequality, and prejudice conflicts but by the end every problem was solved, everyone was happy, and the ending left me with a warm, full feeling.
I'd recommend it to women, as I don't think most men would get much out of it.
So give it a try, you deserve an inspirational and heartfelt movie in these hard times.
