Hello everybody again. Sorry for my 3 posts in one day, but I have had a couple of random thoughts I wanted to post about.
One of the problems I find on Steemit is that we need a larger reader/viewer base. We need to draw in people to consume content and not just make it. That is one of the things I have found with streaming on DLive and the Vimm. It is attractive to the content creator, but the site is still not attractive to a consumer. Everything doesn't look quite as polished and there isn't so much incentive for them yet.
So today onward, at the end of every week, I am going to send 0.10 Steem to the most engaged person on my posts. I am doing it once a week because I have only been posting about once a week(despite my 3 posts in one day today xD). As my account grows or if I have a lot of people active on my posts I will be more generous!
So to all the readers out there, drop a comment on my posts or chat with me on stream.
Peace!
-Schubes
I've wanted to create a inchat coin that gets distributed to viewers and active chatters and then for instance send 10% beneficiary to steem-engine and buy your coin and burn it. The way it is distributed would be similar to how bitcoin's halving occurs where with more users the less they earn to reward the early viewers if they hodl and don't sell it in the market. :D
Wonder what the that would mean legally though to be the creator of one.

I'm not a lawyer, but generally giving out tokens for free if they have no value (you can't redeem them for services) shouldn't be an issue (maybe depending on your jurisdiction). So go ahead :-)
But in the light of @schubes' post, I wonder if incentivizing behavior with tokens alone is the solution. As long as the behavior itself has no value for the user, there will only be a certain group of people who do that.
So I agree with @schubes that new users coming in from the outside shouldn't be bothered with a worse UX (including onboarding) if we want them to flock onto Steem in masses.

This is interesting idea to make people more engaged here on steemit, I think if more people incentives others to comment on them like you the platform will get more popular.
