The ICO market has been a wild west and 2017 so it hits its peak as the rise of Bitcoin and Ethereum created a platform for deregulated and decentralised funding with widespread implications. It came to a point where just about any ICO with a whitepaper could get millions of Dollars in funding without having to prove anything or even create an MVP. This fundraising craze resulted in a lot of companies being over-capitalised and many individual investors lost money in the process.
There was no real process behind how ICOs are evaluated and how to protect investors from ICOs that are simply overpromising and have greatly inflated their potential growth.
Vision & Mission
The current market has presented a unique fundraising opportunity that is open for abuse and squandering of funds and requires some sort of oversight or regulation to encourage responsible investment of funds. Vertex aims to provide a solution in the form of an ICO investment and evaluation platform.
Vertex will create a systematic vigilant vetting process, that would benefit anyone who wants to participate in crypto investing that involves investment professionals evaluating all ICOs Vertex makes available on its platform.

Vertex keeps their funds on a decentralised platform and holds their own private keys for their stake in Vertex tokens. They can then, however, use the platform to move their vertex tokens into ICO projects they feel are worth investing in, giving you fluidity and less friction in investing and reduction in transfer costs.
Also having one platform to do your ICO investing makes it easier to keep track of your finds and more control over your investing.
Aftermarket platform
Once an ICO meets the Vertex evaluation criteria it will be bought by Vertex and listed on the aftermarket platform which is kind of like an exchange for ICOs. Once on the aftermarket Vertex investors will have the option to invest their funds in the project.
Vertex not only connects ICOs with potential investors but also offers additional services. The ICO will get free advertisement on the Vertex platform and Vertex Seal of Approval and ICOs will also get support and consultation from Vertex. To help ensure the probability of success for the project not just access to funding.
Once In the Vertex aftermarket, the ICOs that are successful, or have a greater chance of success and likely to be listed on exchanges to increase interest and buying volume
Investing in an ICO
Investing in an ICO can be a risky but lucrative way to invest your money in the short to medium term. One way to minimize risk is to spread your investments over a multitude of ICOs and trying to invest in the most reliable and promising projects available. Doing all the research can take time and technical know-how but with Vertex, that sort of painful ICO evaluating could be a thing of the past and make it easier for first-time ICO investors to get in with a bit of stake and have some confidence that they've picked a few winners in their portfolio.
