WHERE and WHY did my STEEM POWER GO -??????

I am relatively new to Steemit.   I (thought) I understood how Steemit worked and have basically been uploading videos and stories for my own personal "log." I enjoyed the comments, joining a new, growing 'community' and the occasional $..

One post I made received $14.00... this was exciting, but someone posted a slight complaint in the comments, and next thing I know ALL $ is GONE (???)

I am NOT a fan of social media.  I am not a FaceBook(er) at all.  The only reason I have a FB is to 'hunt' old friends down.

One comment offered in response to my question about "WHERE DID MY $ GO?"  explained that people with more Steem power can 'take' your $ and I posted that comment... HOWEVER, that blog entry is GONE... and now the remaining $0.73 remaining is ALL GONE (???)

Can someone please provide me some insight... I AM QUITE CURIOUS.

Thank You,

~Philanthropest

Are u talking about ur post with the video of the big trees? Because u got down-voted for a guy who was(is) piss with Steemit I do not why and he start to down-vote people, it happens to me too. I have voted your post now and it should appear again, I have more SP than him so... hope that helps.

thank u for your reply i'm beginning to think Steemit -and its' growing popularity- is 'irritating' a FEW people

You got flagged by an orca or whale

I had some problem on one of my posts - unbeknownst to me, but it was caught by a couple of other posters....anyhow @billionstackers suggested https://steemit.com/uncool/@bullionstackers/steemit-attorney-helpdesk-officially-open to get help. Maybe you'll find answers there.

If you click on the pull down on the right of the post value, it says potential payout.

It is "potential" because until it is actually paid out, it will be affected by upvotes (more $$$) or downvotes-flags (less $$$). It's pretty simple.
