The mosque is closed and appears to be in a sorry state of repair, inside and out. That’s a pity, as its situation, in the Medieval Town of Rhodes – a UNESCO World Heritage Site – would guarantee it a steady stream of curious and respectful visitors. Apparently there no open and functioning mosques on the island of Rhodes. The few that do exist here are museum pieces and curiosities.
