How to Rhyme pt 2

Ok, in the last chat I explained that I would go into the art of rhyming.

The 1st thing is that there needs to be a story to the content. This means there has to be a message.

Let’s take the song “The Message” by Melly Mel / Sugar Hill Gang.
The message was made to tell the story of the living in the inner city of New York. This was the story line.

So now that you have a story or plot in mind, it’s time to start penning those words.

Most artists will agree that the 1st line of your rhyme must be powerful. In our example song “the message “ opens with...

“Broken Glass everywhere/people pissing in the corner man they just don’t care”

This line alone explains the song....
Start off with a great opening...
